Founded in 1981 Upton United currently has over 150 players ranging from under 7's to under 12's. We were awarded F.A.charter standard in 2005 showing our commitment to bring football to the community.
To ensure your child is playing football in a safe environment all coaches and helpers are required to undertake a CRB check. A number of these have already been done including all of our coaches.
Upton United is a parent run club and as such relies on your help to keep the club running. Volunteers are always needed and very much appreciated, But as always childrens safety is paramount. So please get your CRB check done, volunteer your services and get involved

UPTON IS SITUATED JUST OFF THE A638 (WAKEFIELD/ DONCASTER ROAD). FOLLOW THE MAIN ROAD THROUGH THE VILLAGE OUR PITCHES ARE BEHIND UPTON J&I SCHOOL, ACROSS THE ROAD FROM THE CO-OP.
ALTERNATE DIRECTIONS
OFF THE A1 EXIT AT JUNCTION FOLLOW THE SIGNS FOR UPTON TURNING RIGHT INTO THE VILLAGE FOLLOW THIS ROAD THROUGH PAST THE CO-OP ON YOUR RIGHT TAKING THE NEXT LEFT TURNING(ENTRANCE TO THE SCHOOL) FOLLOW THE ROAD ROUND TO THE LEFT ONTO THE CAR PARK THE PITCHES ARE ON THE FIELD.

Upton united are a well supported and enthusiastic community based junior football club.
Founded in 1981 Upton's fortunes took a downward turn in the 1990's with membership and participants falling.
we now have over 150 children playing and enjoying football at six different age groups. Parent participation has now gone through the roof with everyone helping from coaching, reffereeing, sponsorship through to running match day raffles.

In response to comment made by Fair Football Fan - All you had to do was ask, the boys you are referring to are in fact registered to Upton United - they just happen to train with another team as well - they have never played for any other team in the winter league other than Upton United. I am able to produce cards for all my players.

As you may or may not know we have a problem with a few thoughtless individuals who persist in riding motorbikes across the Wrangbrook sports area. They are churning up the grass and making the pitches a real mess with no thoughts for the children who have to play on these pitches. If you have seen anyone doing this or know the identity of those that are doing it then please please phone the police on 01977601044 or wakefield council on 0845 8506506 ...
